What?

The program for the conference will draw from the Sacred Writings as well as guidance contained in relevant messages from the Baha'i Universal House of Justice.

Topics Discussed will include...

Theme 1—Bahá’u’lláh’s vision for humanity

Theme 2—Distance traversed

Theme 3—Building vibrant communities

Theme 4—Educational endeavours and the training institute

Theme 5—Contributing to societal transformation

How?

- Opportunities to engage in the arts (music, crafts, and more!)

- Large and small group discussions

- Films and brief presentations

- Meaningful conversations

- Time for reflection and consultation

- Special programs for children (ages 4-8) and youth (ages 9-14)

- Community building and social collaboration

- One meal, light snacks, and beverages will be provided each day!

Why?

We are setting the stage for a global transformation based on collaborative action within local communities, initiated by connected individuals.

Together we will gain an “enhance[d] appreciation of the privilege of being part of a community that has set its gaze upon the spiritual and material transformation of society, and of the bounty of being connected by bonds of love and camaraderie with brothers and sisters in a global effort, each one labouring within the same framework for action...”

  • The purpose of humanity/creation

  • Raising vibrant communities that are contributing to spiritual and material progress

  • What Bahá’ís and those labouring alongside them are doing

Theme 2—Distance traversed

  • Film screening: Glimpses of a Hundred Years of Endeavour

  • Reflect on the endeavours and progress of humanity, our communities, and the Baha'i Faith over the last one hundred years

Sunday, May 22nd

Theme 3—Building vibrant communities

  • The characteristics of a vibrant community

  • Importance of worship and service, and contributing to the wellbeing of everyone

Theme 4—Educational endeavours and the training institute

  • The centrality of education

  • The importance of the institute in building both the capacity for service and the ability to contribute to the development of the local community and society

  • Educational programmes of the institute

  • Youth: the sacred charge of the institute
